It’s Tourism Tuesday, so let's get weird.

Today’s single, “Metropolis one” b/w “Metropolis two” by Tourism is a companion piece to last Tuesday and Wednesday’s (21:12) pieces, and will sync up with both or either. It’s a live performance from the Metropolis Coffee Co.’s warehouse during the PRF Winter Cauldron. It was crazy loud in that huge space, and the natural reverb is reflected in the recording by Jim Birch. Birch gave us one of our best live reviews by saying that we “sounded like a My Bloody Valentine bootleg recorded under a pile of coats.” I’ll take it! It’s a 21:12 minute piece for two voices, two guitars and last week’s single, “Haunt the Room” b/w “Eid’n” playing underneath it so that future pieces would sync up. Gonna sign off early today, as yesterday’s release was wordy. See you tomorrow!

Got this record as a birthday gift from a bandmate and it coincided with the loss of my grandmother and a painful trip east to see to final arrangements. It provided both company and consolation during that difficult journey and thematically, is spot-on for this season of life. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. Creep Church
